EA Sports PGA Tour Delayed to April 7 to Coincide with Masters Tournament

EA Sports PGA Tour has been delayed from its previously announced March release date to Friday, April 7, to coincide with the Masters Tournament, one of the four major professional golf championships. EA Sports and developer EA Tiburon’s upcoming golf game will now launch the week of the Masters Tournament, with an early access release on Tuesday, April 4 and worldwide launch on Friday, April 7.

The fans who have been waiting for the new installment of the EA Sports PGA Tour had to endure years of waiting.[0] What other minor resistance can be expected?[0] It looks like the developers need just a bit more time with the game, and as a result, they have unveiled that the new release date for EA Sports PGA Tour is not set for April 7, 2023. Releasing the players during the same week as the Masters' Tournament would be ideal.[0] By pushing back the calendar year, developers are striving to provide a more satisfying experience.[0]

EA’s sim golf game will be out on April 7 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The game can be pre-ordered to receive early access on April 4. The Standard Edition comes with the main game, as well as pre-order bonuses like the Players Gear, Grand Slam Gear Bundle, and Scotty Cameron Putter.[1] EA Play Pro subscribers will get access to the full game on April 4.[2]

Those who purchase the deluxe edition of the game can begin playing three days earlier, on April 4, due to the 3-day early access period. Those who pre-order the game will also receive 1500 Premium PGA Tour Points and Augusta National Amen Corner Gear.[2]

EA Sports PGA Tour has been a long time coming, and with the delay, the developers are now able to add the finishing touches to the game that they are very excited to deliver to all of you.[3] These final touches will apparently include updates to courses in order to match their 2023 design, as well as shot types, an RPG leveling system for your created golfer, and Trackman shot data.[4]

The delay is only a few weeks, and it’s worth noting that the launch of EA Sports PGA Tour will coincide with the week of the Masters Tournament, a major golf championship.
