2023 Honda Classic: Mike McClure’s Optimal Picks for PGA Tour Event at PGA National
The PGA Tour is heading to PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida this week for the start of the Florida swing and the 2023 Honda Classic.[0] Eight of the world's top 50 players, including Sungjae Im who is the 17-2 favorite, will be teeing it up at PGA National.[1] The course is known for being one of the most difficult on the PGA Tour, and the average winning score over the last five years has been nine-under par.[2]
McClure has studied the field, odds and tee times and locked in his top golf prop bet picks this week.[3] He's recommending that golfers target Hayden Buckley at $7,600, who is fifth in Good Drives Gained, and Ben Griffin at $7,900, who is sixth in Strokes Gained: Approach. McClure also likes Sungjae Im at $10,700, who is first in both SG: Tee-to-Green and SG: Total, and Aaron Wise at $11,900, who is second in SG: Total.
McClure is also high on Chris Kirk at 25-1 and Ryan Palmer at 60-1 for their One and Done picks. He also recommends keeping an eye on Taylor Pendrith at $7,600, who is third in SG: Par 4, and Denny McCarthy at $7,500, who is fifth in SG: Tee-to-Green.
